POSITION TITLE Baker
POSITION SUMMARY
In this position, the selected candidate will join a production team responsible for preparing dough and baking products for three retail locations and wholesale distribution. The role includes dough preparation, fermentation, shaping, and baking to ensure safe and consistent product quality. Additional responsibilities involve producing items such as steamed buns and baked sweets, developing new recipes, maintaining hygiene standards, and managing inventory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Calculate production volume and measure ingredients based on store orders and wholesale quantities
Mix and knead dough, then ferment under controlled temperature and humidity
Shape fermented dough into various bread types within limited timeframes
Bake products efficiently at precise temperatures and durations
Produce non-bread items such as steamed buns and baked sweets
Maintain and improve product quality
Develop new recipes and adjust existing ones based on seasonal ingredient quality
Ensure hygiene standards for personal cleanliness, workspace, tools, and equipment
Manage inventory, receive and inspect deliveries, and handle stock
Collaborate with team members and delivery staff for smooth operations
Work with store managers to improve production processes, equipment, and team development
QUALIFICATIONS
No educational requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience as a baker
Basic or higher proficiency in English and Japanese
Spanish language skills are a plus
LOCATION Fountain Valley, CA
SCHEDULED DAYS OFF 1 to 2 days per week
SALARY Hourly wage: $23–$25 (paid bi-weekly)
