POSITION SUMMARY
A well-established Japanese restaurant brand is seeking one experienced professional per location to join as either a General Manager (GM) or Assistant General Manager (AGM),
depending on experience and fit. Positions are available in Los Angeles and New York.
The roles involve managing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading teams to uphold high standards of service and hygiene.
RESPONSIBILITIES
General Manager (GM)
- Lead all aspects of restaurant operations
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve complaints
- Manage inventory, cost control, and vendor relations
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance management
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards
Collaborate with senior management on operational strategy
Assistant General Manager (AGM)
- Support GM in daily operations and team supervision
- Maintain operational schedules and reporting
- Assist in inventory and cost control
- Handle staff scheduling and basic HR functions
- Promote service quality and customer satisfaction
- Ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the food & beverage industry required
- Management experience preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Japanese language required for LA location; not required for NY
LOCATION
Los Angeles, CA (Japanese language required)
New York, NY (Japanese language not required)
SALARY
Assistant GM: USD 70,000–75,000/year (Exempt)
General Manager: USD 80,000–85,000/year (Exempt)
