POSITION TITLE General / Senior Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
This role serves as a central business partner supporting profitability improvement and executive decision‑making.
The position collaborates across Accounting, Sales, Logistics, Warehouse, and Manufacturing to translate operational realities into financial insights and strategic recommendations.
It is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, requiring strong analytical skills, cross‑functional influence, and proactive execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business & Financial Planning
Lead annual budgeting and budget management processes.
Analyze financial and operational performance and provide actionable insights.
Support evaluation of business plans, investments, and operational initiatives.
Profitability & Cost Management
Drive cost accounting and margin analysis with relevant departments.
Lead pricing strategies and price‑increase initiatives, including modeling and tracking.
Promote cost‑reduction and productivity improvement programs across Sales, Distribution, Warehouse, and Manufacturing.
Cross‑Functional Business Support
Serve as a business partner to key operational departments.
Translate operational issues into financial impact and improvement opportunities.
Facilitate alignment for profit‑focused decision‑making.
Executive Support
Prepare materials, analysis, and recommendations for executive meetings.
Provide objective, data‑driven advice to leadership.
Support special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Native‑level Japanese and business‑level English
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Strong financial literacy and analytical skills
Experience in budgeting, cost accounting, cross‑functional partnering, and Japan‑U.S. communication
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CPA, JCPA, CMA, or equivalent certifications
Experience in manufacturing, food/beverage, or consumer goods
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP)
Prior experience supporting senior leadership at a U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese company
