POSITION TITLESales Associate

 

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for promoting products, increasing brand awareness, and generating orders to meet sales targets within a designated territory. The position involves frequent travel to visit both existing and prospective clients, and requires strong communication, planning, and relationship-building skills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Sales Management

  • Develop and execute sales plans and forecasting strategies to identify potential clients

  • Understand customer needs and budgets to tailor product strategies

  • Manage and support activities of existing sales representatives

  • Identify opportunities, qualify accounts, and analyze needs across prospects

  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers

  • Maintain activity metrics through calls, appointments, demos, and pipeline development

  • Follow up on customer projects and nurture long-term relationships

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of company products

  • Expand market share through daily outreach via phone and in-person visits

  • Document all activities and report to management as needed

  • Set and pursue sales and action targets

  • Provide feedback to engineering teams and coordinate with suppliers

  • Offer technical support between domestic and international teams

  • Train sales representatives on new products

  • Prepare for and attend exhibitions, and follow up with leads afterward

  • Update and maintain website and product catalogs

  • Develop marketing tools such as sample kits and promotional materials

  • Negotiate contracts with customers and reps (with legal support)

  • Assist with administrative and general affairs tasks as needed

  • Support and train visiting employees or trainees from overseas headquarters

  • Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable and follow up on late payments

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

 

Marketing Management

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs

  • Gather data on market activities, trends, and competitor products

  • Communicate with clients to uncover sales opportunities and market insights

  • Monitor competitor activity and report to senior management

  • Attend industry conventions and meetings to stay informed

 

Other Duties

  • Continuously seek process improvements and cost efficiencies

  • Handle special projects and miscellaneous tasks

  • Uphold high ethical standards

  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

  • Comply with company policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Valid driver’s license

  • No prior experience required

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Local Travel: Frequently

  • Domestic Overnight Travel: Frequently (combining with Domestic Travel, up to 50% of employee’s work may be on business travel.)

  • International Travel: Frequently (combining with International Travel, up to 50% of employee’s work may be on business travel.)
