A leading Japanese manufacturer of ultra-precision molds and molding is seeking a sole accounting professional to oversee all financial operations for its U.S. entity (approx. 10 employees). This role covers full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards. Ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a hands-on, independent environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, financial statements, and cash flow reports
* Lead month-end close, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and invoice coding
* Conduct financial analysis for budgeting, pricing, capital investment, and contract decisions
* Prepare and submit financial reports to Japan HQ, ensuring clear and timely communication
* Oversee AP/AR, cash flow management, and purchasing/invoicing systems
* Handle tax filings, planning, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
* Monitor inventory valuation and resolve discrepancies through coordination with warehouse staff
* Establish internal controls, support audits, and assist with business loans and debt management
QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a small business or manufacturing setting
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus
* Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and tax compliance
* Ability to collaborate with domestic and international teams, including Japan HQ
SALARY
USD 60,000-65,000 (Non-Exempt)
