POSITION SUMMARY
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support daily store operations, including enhancing customer service quality, supervising and developing staff, and managing routine tasks. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire store.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations
Train, supervise, and manage staff schedules
Handle customer service and complaints
Plan and execute store layout and product displays
Manage data related to sales, attendance, and inventory
Maintain hygiene and safety standards within the store
Perform other duties related to store operations
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in opticianry or at least some postsecondary education preferred
Retail management experience (1 year or more)
Work experience as an optician in a retail environment or an eye clinic (1 year or more)
Interest in customer service and retail
Skills in store operations, employee training and development, and human resource management
Basic computer skills
Valid license or certification as required by state law
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Retail management experience in the eyewear industry
SALARY
Hourly Wage: $28 – $31 (based on experience and qualifications)
