JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions of the company. You will manage a team of accountants and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Your expertise in financial management, reporting, and process improvement will contribute to the company's overall financial success.
•Manage and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
•Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
•Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends, and presenting key findings to senior management for decision-making purposes
•Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies, making recommendations for improvements as necessary
•Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks
•Manage and coordinate the annual external audit process, acting as the main point of contact with auditors and providing necessary documentation and support
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and analysis
•Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure professional growth and achievement of department goals
•Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, implementing any necessary changes to maintain compliance
•Continuously evaluate accounting processes and systems, identifying opportunities for streamlining and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is highly preferred
•Proven work experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
•In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, US GAAP, and relevant accounting standards
•Experience with accounting software and ERP systems; proficiency in using spreadsheets and financial analysis tools
•Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights to management
•Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and develop a team
•Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels
•Solid organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
•High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information
•Japanese and English Skill (Required for work related)
