POSITION SUMMARY
A growing company in the food distribution industry is seeking a Sales Associate to manage and expand customer relationships within an assigned territory. This role combines field-based client engagement with strategic account development, offering opportunities to directly influence sales growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Visit existing and potential customers to provide product information, support, and maintain strong business relationships
Develop and expand customer networks to maximize sales opportunities
Execute sales plans, pricing adjustments, and promotional activities as directed by management
Communicate customer needs and market feedback to internal teams to support product and business planning
Collaborate with operations, logistics, and accounting teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and receivables management
Submit sales activity reports and participate in quarterly inventory counts
Perform additional sales duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required
1–2 years of sales experience (food industry experience preferred)
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams
Basic computer skills; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites
Positive, outgoing, and professional demeaner
SALARY USD $45,200 – $57,000
