POSITION TITLE Electrical & Control Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY
A global manufacturing equipment company is an Electrical & Control Engineer to join a global manufacturing equipment company. This role is responsible for equipment installation, commissioning, electrical wiring, and control system adjustments. The position covers a wide range of tasks including supervising wiring work for new equipment, adjusting PLC software, conducting test runs, and proposing maintenance or modification plans for existing equipment.
This is an important position that contributes directly to improving client productivity by providing technical support in the U.S. for equipment exported from Japan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise installation and wiring work (including safety management)
Verify electrical wiring and power supply; perform I/O checks and measurements (voltage, current, etc.)
Debug and adjust control devices such as PLCs and HMIs
Verify equipment operation and interlock functions
Conduct integrated test runs and provide operator training
Arrange and replace consumable parts
Propose technical improvements and modification plans
Troubleshoot equipment issues
Prepare estimates and specifications for maintenance and modification work
Coordinate and manage local contractors
Design PLC software (Mitsubishi Q/R Series)
Design HMI screens (GOT2000 Series, etc.)
Check electrical components and create/verify electrical diagrams, panel drawings, and wiring schematics
Perform safety specification reviews and risk assessments
Arrange parts procurement and wiring/installation work
Manage on-site activities of other team members, such as mechanical engineers
QUALIFICATIONS
Business-level Japanese and English
PLC design skills (arithmetic, timers, pulses, state transitions, etc.)
Experience with Mitsubishi PLC (Q/R Series)
Experience in HMI screen design (GOT Series)
Electrical equipment design skills (main line design, cable selection, control panel design, etc.)
Experience using measurement instruments (testers, insulation resistance meters, etc.)
Hands-on experience in manufacturing, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial equipment
Ability to create reports and emails using PC tools
Valid driver’s license
LOCATION Dallas (Business trip to Kansas, North Carolina)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-Time
SALARY USD60,000–100,000 excluding allowances
