POSITION SUMMARY
A Japanese food corporation is seeking a Japanese/English bilingual Director of New Business. This role is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of multiple restaurants across various brands within the assigned region. The Director focuses on maximizing sales, profitability, and operational excellence while ensuring all restaurants maintain the highest standards of QSC (Quality, Service, and Cleanliness). Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operational Oversight: Manage the operations of multiple restaurants, ensuring they meet company standards and goals.
* Sales and Profitability: Drive sales growth and profitability while controlling labor costs and cost of goods (COGS).
* Quality Standards: Maintain and enforce high standards of operational excellence and compliance with company policies.
* Strategic Alignment: Ensure restaurant operations align with overall business goals.
* Leadership: Lead by example, providing strategic direction, coaching, and leadership to managers and staff.
* Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and results-driven performance.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments to support new initiatives and business development.
* Menu Development: Develop and improve menu items, including both existing and new offerings. Create recipes and operational manuals, and conduct training for smooth product implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
* 5–10 years of restaurant management
* Knowledge of Hawaii DOH and HACCP regulations
* Valid Food Safety Certification
* Strong organizational skills
* Valid driver’s license
* Bilingual (English/Japanese)
* Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
* Ability to transfer locations
BASE SALARY USD90,000-110,000 (DOE)
