POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain & Quality Assurance Manager will oversee all activities related to product selection, procurement, production, and distribution. As a strategic leader in quality assurance, supply chain, and menu development for U.S. operations, this role will drive food safety, operational excellence, and continuous menu innovation.

This is a hybrid position based in Ventura County, CA, with remote work as the primary mode and weekly in-person meetings. Occasional travel within the region may be required.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Quality Assurance & Food Safety

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance framework covering hygiene, safety, and product quality across all locations

  • Conduct audits of factories, warehouses, and stores; implement corrective and preventive actions based on findings

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations; build relationships with regulatory agencies

  • Respond to food safety incidents (e.g., allergens, foreign objects) and develop improvement plans

 

Supply Chain Management

  • Define performance metrics to evaluate supply chain efficiency and effectiveness

  • Analyze inventory and operational processes to propose improvements for profitability and efficiency

  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners

  • Coordinate import, customs clearance, and logistics; develop risk mitigation strategies across regions

  • Lead supply chain expansion into Canada and future markets

  • Monitor supplier/vendor performance and lead selection and evaluation of new partners
     

Menu Development & Product Management

  • Lead development of new menu items, including seasonal and region-specific offerings

  • Organize tasting sessions, gather feedback, and incorporate improvements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new products, create SOPs, and manage rollouts

  • Work with the finance team to verify invoices, review pricing changes, and analyze product usage
     

Global Collaboration & Project Management

  • Align U.S. operations with global standards through close collaboration with regional teams

  • Coordinate cross-border projects, share best practices, and support knowledge transfer

  • Build strong relationships with global teams to promote sustainable growth
     

Other Duties

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned
     

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

  • Creative mindset with a balance of innovation and execution

  • Ability to set and manage both short- and long-term goals

  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments, especially with regional teams

  • Willingness to work approximately 50 hours per week with flexibility in scheduling as needed
     

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position includes the following physical requirements necessary to perform the job:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing (up to 8–10 hours)

  • Movement throughout facilities as needed

  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs (23 kg)

  • Repetitive manual tasks such as handling documents, operating equipment, and inspecting products

  • Visual tasks including data analysis, product inspection, and computer use

  • Other physical activities as required for job performance

SALARY/BENEFITS
Salary:  USD 80,000–100,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
