POSITION TITLE Pastry Chef – Full-Time Position
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a position at a locally renowned bakery where you will be responsible for producing cakes and pastries. You will create baked goods such as sponge cakes, cheesecakes, tarts, and cookies entirely from scratch, and also handle finishing tasks such as frosting and decoration. The role includes developing new seasonal and event-based products, while maintaining strict standards for quality and hygiene, and working collaboratively with the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and decorate cakes (frosting, piping, slicing)
Produce sponges, cheesecakes, tarts, cookies, and other pastries from scratch
Manage all stages of production: mixing, baking, decorating
Maintain high standards for taste and presentation
Ensure hygiene and food safety compliance across workstations and equipment
Manage inventory: ordering, receiving, and inspecting ingredients and supplies
Develop new products based on seasonal trends and customer demand
Create special items for holidays and events (e.g., Christmas, Valentine’s Day)
Collaborate with store and kitchen managers to improve processes and support team development
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of experience as a pastry chef
Proven ability to produce baked goods from scratch and manage full production cycles
English proficiency (Japanese or Spanish is a plus)
No formal education required
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
LOCATION Orange County, California (Tustin, Fountain Valley, or Lomita)
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time position
Shift-based schedule (8–10 hours per day, may vary during peak seasons)
Early morning shifts required
1–2 days off per week
SALARY Hourly wage: $23 (paid bi-weekly)
