POSITION TITLE Mechanical Engineer / Sales Engineer 

 

POSITION SUMMARY 

A global manufacturing equipment company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will oversee equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, and improvement activities. This role plays a key part in supporting customers’ production efficiency by managing new equipment installation as well as maintenance and modification of existing systems. The position requires close collaboration with customers, external contractors, and engineering teams in Japan. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and gather technical requirements  

  • Supervise installation work for newly delivered equipment, including safety management  

  • Perform commissioning and equipment adjustment 

  • Conduct maintenance, consumable parts replacement, and propose improvements or modifications  

  • Manage external contractors including scheduling, safety oversight, and cost control  

  • Assemble and adjust equipment as required  

  • Prepare technical documentation and reports  

  • Coordinate with Japan-based manufacturing, design, and procurement teams  

  • Support visiting staff from Japan (interpretation, entry application, etc.)  

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and all safety regulations 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field  

  • Knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)  

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings  

  • Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

  • Ability to prepare technical documents and reports using PC tools  

  • Valid driver’s license 

 

LOCATION Dallas (Business trip to Kansas, North Carolina) 

 

EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-Time 

 

SALARY USD 60,000 - 100,000+Overtime+Bonus
