POSITION SUMMARY
This role plays a critical part in supporting the real estate investment team by evaluating potential commercial real estate investment opportunities. The Associate will conduct detailed financial analysis and underwriting for various commercial properties and portfolios.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform financial analysis and underwriting of commercial real estate investments
Review financial statements, operating reports, and rent rolls for properties and portfolios
Conduct market research and analysis to assess the economic viability of investments
Collaborate with investment and asset management teams to develop strategies and recommendations
Assist in preparing investment memorandums and reports for senior management and investment committees
Build and maintain financial models to support investment decision-making
Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory developments impacting commercial real estate investments
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field (MBA, CFA, or other advanced degrees/certifications preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in commercial real estate underwriting and investment analysis
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking clients and partners
Business-level proficiency in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and real estate financial modeling software
Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
