POSITION SUMMARY
A Japanese food manufacturing company seeks a Supply Chain Strategist to join their team. This position is responsible for developing and executing integrated supply chain strategies that support business goals related to cost, service, quality, and sustainability. The role plays a key part in optimizing production planning across multiple manufacturing sites, streamlining inventory levels, improving forecast accuracy, and ensuring supply chain resiliency in the frozen food sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES
*Strategic Planning & Optimization: Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies, integrate ERP systems, and optimize supply chain networks.
*Procurement & Supplier Management: Optimize raw material sourcing, establish strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and implement sustainable sourcing strategies.
*Data Analytics & Performance Measurement: Analyze supply chain data, use predictive analytics for forecasting, and develop dashboards for real-time monitoring.
*Logistics & Inventory Management: Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution, monitor inventory levels, and implement best practices for warehouse management.
*Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination: Align supply chain strategies with business goals, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and ensure compliance with regulations.
*Other: Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain roles such as supply chain analyst, procurement, and inventory planner in manufacturing or food industry (frozen food/CPG a plus).
Experience with ERP system implementation, configuration, or optimization Strong analytical and Excel/ppt skills; familiarity with forecasting and inventory tools.
A solid understanding of mathematical concepts and statistical analysis.
Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills.
Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
Knowledge of global supply chain trends and sustainability practices.
Willingness to travel domestically and potentially internationally for business needs.
Bilingual proficiency, especially in Japanese, is a significant plus.
BASE SALARY USD78,000 - 95,000 (DOE)
