POSITION SUMMARY

This role is crucial in driving strategic sales execution, expanding distributor partnerships, and optimizing the performance of the sales team. We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Manager who will be responsible for managing distributors in Asia and is expected to lead and develop a high-performing sales team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Sales Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and implement a data-driven sales strategy to increase revenue and market share through distributors in Asia.

  • Set sales targets aligned with company goals to ensure sustainable growth.

  • Drive pricing, promotions, and sales initiatives to maximize distributor performance.

  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure sales strategies align with brand messaging, promotional campaigns, and market strategies.

  • Provide feedback to the marketing team on distributor and customer insights to support improvements in advertising, digital marketing, and packaging.

 

Distributor Management and Expansion

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors in Asia to ensure optimal support and execution.

  • Collaborate with distributors to identify market gaps and expansion opportunities.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and joint marketing activities with distributor partners.

  • Monitor distributor performance to identify opportunities for efficiency and sales improvement.

 

Business Development and Market Growth

  • Identify new distributor partners in key markets to expand brand reach.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities.

  • Develop promotional plans in collaboration with marketing to ensure brand consistency.

     

Sales Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and mentor the sales team, managing them to exceed performance goals.

  • Set clear goals, KPIs, and sales targets, providing coaching and continuous training.

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing sales professionals to deliver results.

  • Conduct weekly sales meetings to track progress and adjust strategies as needed.

 

Sales Performance, Analysis, and Reporting

  • Track key sales metrics, distributor performance, and market trends.

  • Manage CRM systems and sales forecasting tools to drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly sales reports to the CEO and senior management.

  • Oversee budget planning, sales forecasting, and ROI analysis.

 

Competitive Positioning and Brand Alignment

  • Identify consumer trends and industry changes to stay ahead of market shifts.

  • Work closely with senior management to align sales strategies with brand positioning.

  • Ensure the business remains competitive, innovative, and positioned at the right quality and price.

 

Collaboration with Marketing and Brand Execution

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute sales promotions, product launches, and retailer/distributor campaigns.

  • Support the creation of sales materials, presentations, and pitch decks tailored to distributor and client needs.

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all sales channels.

  • Utilize marketing data and consumer insights to optimize sales approaches and distributor engagement.

 

Travel and Industry Participation

  • Travel as needed for meetings with distributors, participation in trade shows, and exploring business development opportunities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Over 3 years of experience in sales, distributor management, and business development in the beverage or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry.

  • Proven track record of managing Asian distributors and expanding market reach.

  • Proficiency in Japanese for effective communication with distributors.

  • Strong leadership skills in managing and developing sales teams.

  • Ability to negotiate and build relationships with distributors and partners.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools, sales analysis, and forecasting software.

  • Experience collaborating with marketing teams to align sales initiatives with promotional strategies.

  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed (approximately 30% travel required).

 

SALARY Base Salary: USD60,000USD120,000 + Bonus Program (New Account Bonus + Sales Target Bonus)
