POSITION TITLE Strategist / Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY
A globally operating company in the chemical and manufacturing sector is seeking a Strategist/Specialist to drive new business development across the Americas. Through technology matching and market research, this role creates innovative business opportunities and supports corporate growth. It plays a critical role in advancing business strategies from a global perspective, including collaboration with headquarters in Japan and sourcing startups.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct technology matching and market research, including feasibility studies and preliminary experiments
Support decision-making for joint R&D projects
Source startups through databases, venture capital networks, and industry events
Collaborate with headquarters in Japan to identify potential partners
Prepare meeting minutes and monthly reports
QUALIFICATIONS
1–3 years of relevant experience (chemical industry experience is a plus)
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Fluent in English; Japanese language skills are a plus
Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Willingness to travel (1–2 days per month)
