JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Manage cross-group projects by developing workstreams, facilitating meetings, and coordinating with executives across the group company to advance the project and achieve goals.
•Analyze, evaluate, and execute variety of challenging deals across our USA Group including strategic M&As, private debt, real estate, and private equity investments.
•Involvement in the due diligence process and review of legal documents.
•Review and assist deal teams with drafting internal memos and articulate recommendations to executive leadership.
•Monitor investment performance and watchlist reports and provide timely updates to USA leadership and Parent company on developing credit/investment situation
•Assist in writing credit opinions on new transactions, amendment to existing transactions to USA CEO
•Ad hoc financial analyses and other projects and duties, as assigned.
•Translate business and financial documents and correspondence between Japanese and English as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university in finance, economics, or a related field; completion or progress towards an MBA or CFA preferred
•At least 3 years of experience in either a private equity, investment banking, or deal advisory role (e.g. transaction services)
•Oral and written fluency in Japanese is required for work related.
•Strong understanding of fundamental business analysis and capital structures, including advanced knowledge of financial statement analysis.
•Superior financial modeling and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to prepare 3-statement models and perform financial analysis on investment opportunities, supported by a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
•Exceptional written, interpersonal and communication skills, supported by a high proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
•Effective team member with a willingness to multi-task, prioritize assignments, work independently, flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and frequent interruptions
•Attention to detail with an ability to accurately identify and summarize key information at a level appropriate for executive communication
•Some travel (less than 20%) is expected with this position.
