POSITION SUMMARY

This role supports trading and portfolio management functions for Latin American advised funds, leveraged index funds, and other investment products. Responsibilities include fund operations, performance analysis, client reporting, and industry research. Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English is preferred, with cross-border coordination between Japan and the U.S. being a key aspect.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (70% – 50% Trading / 20% Portfolio Management)

Conduct and support portfolio management/trading under Portfolio Manager/Trader instruction
Run daily operations of Latin American advised funds, leveraged index funds, and other funds by analyzing cash flows and implementing model portfolio updates
Execute trades as backup trader for Latin American and other funds
Communicate with Latin American advisors to understand their investment philosophy
Monitor model portfolios and analyze performance
Report fund performance and advisor activities to the client
Prepare and send monthly and semi-annual reports

Other Duties (30%)

Conduct and support fund due diligence on existing sub-advisory funds
Analyze and suggest new product ideas to help grow AUM
Provide research and updates on US asset management industry and products
Communicate with relevant US companies and provide updates
Review trade confirmations daily
Perform other duties as assigned by the President


QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in trading or operations within the financial industry
Strong MS Office skills, including Excel and preferably VBA
Business-level or native proficiency in both Japanese and English
Proactive and responsible work ethic

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Series 3 and CFA certification preferred


SALARY $80,000-100,000USD/year
