Accounting Senior

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Senior to perform and coordinate accounting duties. To succeed in this role, you should have a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and possess strong financial analysis skills. An exceptional Accounting Senior will also demonstrate proficiency in Excel, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working with minimal supervision and under pressure.

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Achieve goals on or before established deadlines, often with minimal need for revision.
• Utilize comprehensive accounting knowledge to maximize client satisfaction.
• Educate others on best practices for accounting.
   

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct technical research and ensure proper GAAP accounting treatment for all transactions.
• Collaborate closely with clients' accounting or finance teams to address daily business activities and associated accounting implications.
• Assist in the month-end close process for clients, including maintaining the general ledger and sub-ledgers, reviewing journal entries, and reconciling balance sheets.
• Prepare and assist with work papers for assurance services (e.g., audit, review, compilation).
• Support clients with internal control-related matters.

• Business-level proficiency in English / Native Japanese proficiency.
• 3 years of experience in an accounting firm or accounting department.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
   

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced knowledge of relevant software, such as QuickBooks.
• CPA certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
