JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for managing both the accounting and human resources functions within our organization. The Accounting and Human Resources Coordinator will oversee a wide range of activities that include, but are not limited to, managing financial accounts, providing insightful financial reports, administering payroll, coordinating recruitment processes, and addressing employee relations issues.
Accounting-related Coordination
•Oversees daily accounting operations, including managing invoices, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and other transactions to ensure timely and accurate processing
•Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports by assisting in the collection, analysis, and summarization of account information, trends, and company expenses. This includes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, as well as balance sheets and income statements
•Assist in tracking the company's financial status and performance, comparing actual results to forecasts, and assisting in budget preparation
•Support compliance and risk management efforts, including processing tax payments and filings in accordance with all regulations, conducting internal audits, maintaining current knowledge of regulations, and enforcing compliance as necessary
•Assist with bank and account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and financial records accurately reflect the status of the business
HR-related Coordination
•Assist in managing the hiring and onboarding process, from posting job openings and screening applications to conducting interviews and facilitating new employee orientation
•Support the maintenance and organization of employee and personnel records, ensuring that all records are current, secure, and compliant with laws and company policies
•Coordinate HR projects and company events, such as meetings or employee satisfaction surveys
•Participate in the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and programs. This includes coordinating training programs, managing employee relations, administering benefits programs, and helping to create a fair and transparent work environment in which employees feel motivated
•Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance, including issues such as hours, wages, and time off
Others
•Coordinate accounting-related issues and company policies with external vendors, serving as the primary point of contact for accounting and HR matters
•Assist with other ad hoc duty and support colleagues and other departments as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or a related field; or Equivalent combination of education and experience
•At least 3 years of experience in accounting/finance-related duties, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry
•Ability to use the following systems/software:
Computer Systems, Productivity Software, Project Management Tools, Communication Platforms
Video Conferencing Tools, Data Analysis Tools, Financial Software, Restaurant Management Software
•Business level of English skill and Conversational level to Business level of Japanese skill is a plus (required for work related)
•Financial Literacy: A strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting to effectively manage the company's financial operations
•Human Resource Management Skills: Proficiency in handling HR tasks like recruitment, training coordination, and benefits administration, aimed at building a positive work environment
•Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain order in a fast-paced environment
•Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively liaise with team members, senior management, and external parties, while also ensuring clear and respectful employee communications
•Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of current financial and HR laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company's adherence to legal and ethical standards
