POSITION SUMMARY
In this position, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial machinery at customer sites while supporting sales activities, participating in projects, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise machine installation and ensure smooth setup processes
Troubleshoot and repair equipment, with a primary focus on electrical issues and occasional mechanical support
Communicate effectively with customers and external vendors
Provide customer training on machine operation and maintenance
Prepare service reports, including obtaining customer sign-off upon completion
Provide status updates and follow up on customer issues until full resolution
Create quotations and obtain purchase orders (POs)
Support sales teams with technical expertise and joint customer visits
Deliver technical presentations to customers and prospects
Identify and develop new sales opportunities for machines and parts
Collaborate with engineering teams and technical staff on customer issues
Source and evaluate potential new vendors
Maintain and return tools, kits, and spare parts appropriately
Complete expense reports and administrative tasks in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with safety requirements and complete all required safety training
Participate in trade shows, including customer interaction and product demonstrations
Engage in special projects, including taking the lead role as a project engineer when required
QUALIFICATIONS
Practical experience with industrial machinery or equipment (installation, maintenance, repair, etc.)
Hands-on experience working directly with machinery and equipment
Experience in troubleshooting
Ability to perform fieldwork (travel and on-site support)
Basic electrical knowledge (wiring, electrical troubleshooting, etc.)
Ability to communicate effectively in both Japanese and English in a business setting
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience as a service engineer or in equipment maintenance
Practical experience in the manufacturing or industrial machinery industry
Experience with PLCs or control systems
