POSITION TITLE Senior Analyst, Accounting & Performance Management
POSITION SUMMARY
In this position, you will serve as a key member of the accounting and performance management team supporting a U.S. real estate development business, overseeing financial reporting, performance analysis, complex accounting matters, management reporting, and internal control enhancement to support business and investment decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reporting activities
Prepare and review financial statements, accounting reports, and headquarters reporting packages
Analyze project-level profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, investment balances, and financing positions
Support complex accounting matters including joint venture accounting, equity method accounting, consolidation adjustments, and capital transactions
Coordinate with external accounting advisors, auditors, and internal stakeholders
Provide accounting and financial analysis support for special situations such as impairment, asset sales, refinancing, additional investments, and loan modifications
Lead management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business review materials
Improve reporting processes, strengthen internal controls, and support system implementation initiatives
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in accounting, finance, FP&A, management reporting, audit, accounting advisory, consulting, or related fields
Strong understanding of financial statements, closing processes, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
Ability to prepare analytical reports and executive-level presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Business-level English communication skills
Japanese language capability sufficient for reporting to headquarters
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of US GAAP, J-GAAP, IFRS, consolidation accounting, equity method accounting, or joint venture accounting
USCPA qualification or equivalent accounting expertise
Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
Interest in learning new business areas and working collaboratively across functions
