The Credit Analyst role is a strong opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys combining credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, and client-related support in a corporate banking environment. This hybrid position involves financial evaluation, risk assessment, credit documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including overseas offices.
Responsibilities
Analyze financial statements of borrowers and their parent companies
Prepare credit applications, including new, renewal, amendment, and extension cases
Prepare applications for non-credit transactions such as fee-related items
Assign and review credit ratings for borrowers and facilities
Monitor credit exposure, including covenant compliance checks, and evaluate asset quality
Support client relationship management, promote non-credit business, and respond to client requests and inquiries
Maintain and update credit files, prepare for regulatory examinations and audits, draft credit-related documentation, and arrange client meetings
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Eligibility to work in the United States
Experience in banking, rating agencies, or financial institutions is preferred
Experience in financial statement, cash flow, or credit analysis is preferred
Ability to work onsite 4 days per week in Los Angeles
