POSITION SUMMARY
In this position, you will oversee payroll operations and provide tax consulting services to clients, supporting their business operations through the development and implementation of tax strategies. You will also lead internal and external training sessions to support the growth and career development of internal team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and review individual income tax returns (Form 1040) and other tax filings
Perform and review tax equalization calculations
Respond to tax authority notices and act as a client representative
Conduct gross-up calculations for expatriates
Manage payroll operations including data collection, entry, and review of payroll reports
Develop tax-efficient solutions aligned with client business needs
Stay current with evolving tax regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a tax-focused accounting program
Minimum of 5 years of experience in individual income tax and/or payroll
CPA or EA certification required
Strong tax accounting and analytical skills
Proficiency in tax software, Excel, and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
High attention to detail and accuracy
Business-level English required; Japanese proficiency preferred
LOCATION Fully remote within the U.S.
Candidates must be able to work within 3 hours of EST to ensure collaboration with the team.
