POSITION TITLE Consumer Research Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
In this position, you will generate actionable consumer, shopper, and market insights to support business and brand strategy, lead consumer research initiatives, and help drive innovation and growth through data-driven decision making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify business opportunities through consumer and market insight analysis
Lead consumer-centered design thinking and innovation initiatives
Design, plan, commission, and manage market research projects
Translate qualitative and quantitative research findings into strategic recommendations
Support global projects through U.S. market and consumer research
Manage external research agencies and project budgets
Partner closely with marketing and sales teams to align research with business needs
Support brand strategy, shopper journey, new product development, and retail analytics projects
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 5 years of consumer insight generation and application experience
Experience within FMCG, market research, or consulting environments
Hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
Experience developing strategy based on consumer insights and market analytics
Experience leading product innovation research programs
Strong data analysis and synthesis capabilities
Experience using POS and panel data sources
Practical experience incorporating AI into insight generation and workflow management
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication skills in global environments
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of SPSS or R is preferred
Japanese language proficiency preferred but not required
