POSITION TITLE Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
POSITION SUMMARY
In this position, you will lead all financial, accounting, treasury, and internal control functions across a multi-entity corporate structure, driving financial strategy and ensuring compliance while supporting organizational growth, M&A activities, and expansion into new markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Oversee consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities and subsidiaries
Establish and maintain internal controls and governance frameworks
Support the setup and financial operations of new regional offices
Manage and mentor accounting leadership and staff
Oversee A/R, A/P, general ledger, and project accounting functions
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements
Manage external auditors, tax advisors, and banking relationships
Lead financial due diligence for M&A transactions and post-merger integration
Oversee payroll processes and employee benefit programs including 401(k)
Support investor reporting and financial analysis for real estate projects
Drive process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements
Cross-border financial management, including reporting to overseas parent companies
Management of multiple entities, including special purpose companies (SPCs)
Cash flow management, intercompany fund transfers, and investor distribution oversight
Financial management related to real estate investment and development projects
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
CPA preferred
Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or audit
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and J-GAAP
Experience managing multi-entity and cross-border operations
Proven leadership and team management experience
Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks)
