POSITION TITLE Associate/Analyst Credit Risk
POSITION SUMMARY
In this position, you will support the credit risk management function within a precious metals trading business by assisting with credit line applications, monitoring counterparty exposure, conducting financial analysis, and preparing credit-related documentation to help maintain and strengthen the organization's credit risk framework.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in preparing credit line applications for new facilities, renewals, and amendments
Collect, organize, and analyze financial statements and supporting documents from counterparties
Support the preparation and maintenance of internal credit approval documentation
Monitor counterparty credit exposure and utilization levels
Maintain credit monitoring tools, files, and reporting trackers
Assist in preparing periodic reports for management and internal committees
Coordinate with sales, operations, and credit-related teams
Conduct basic financial analysis, including ratio and trend analysis
Gather and summarize relevant industry and market information
Support process improvement initiatives related to credit risk operations
Maintain and update credit procedures, templates, and collateral records
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
1-4 years of experience in credit risk, finance, accounting, middle office, or related functions
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
Ability to perform financial ratio and trend analysis
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of or interest in commodities trading, particularly precious metals
Familiarity with credit documentation, approval processes, or risk management frameworks
Exposure to financial analysis, credit analysis, or risk management activities
